How do I Apply?
Recruit neighbors to participate in the Challenge with you.
Fill out the pre-application and submit to the Fulton Block Builders. (Pre-qualification form)
Meet with the Community Ambassador. Your cluster will get an assessment of your block, ideas for neighborhood activities, and application assistance.
Fill out and turn in the final application. (Below) Your cluster will have to outline the scope of work at each house, how you propose to complete the work, other resources you can provide, and how you plan to develop and sustain a neighborhood identity.

Fulton Block Builder- Block Challenge and Historical Paint participants - will receive discounts from several local businesses
Burkes Home Supply, ACE Northern, Ontario Orchards and Lakeside Roofing and Siding are stepping up to support the Fulton Block Builder (FBB) program with discounts on much needed supplies to complete home improvement projects.
Chuck Handley from Burke’s Home Center supported the FBB participants in 2017 and is proud to be a part of the 2023 program.
Burke's DO IT BEST Home Center provides a wide assortment of hardware, lumber, tools and building supplies and has been serving home owners and professional contractors since 1926. The Fulton, NY location will be offering FBB grant recipients discounts on many items needed to complete their projects. Burke’s is committed to providing quality materials and excellent customer service. If they don't have what you are looking for in stock, they can order it for you from their warehouse and have it ready for pickup in a couple of days.

While most farm markets are open only in the summer and fall when their crops are harvested, Ontario Orchards is open every day but Christmas to best meet their customer’s needs.

In addition to the discounts from these participating local businesses, each participating property owner in a Challenge Block is eligible to receive a dollar-for-dollar match on exterior improvements (visible from the street), up to $1,000. If $500 is spent, a $250 match will be made. If $2,000 or more is spent the match will be $1,000. (minus taxes). Eligible Improvements are: Painting Mailboxes Porch repair Exterior lights Soffit repair Front yard landscaping Front doors/screen doors Flower Boxes Shutter Sidewalk repair And more…. In 2019, ANY HOMEOWNER in the city will be eligible for grant awards that use these historic colors. Paint Fulton – Find Your Color provides Fulton residents with a selection of historic color schemes to use for painting their homes. Up to 50 possible combinations of colors are possible when using the 10 schemes (See how on the Fulton Block Builders Website). Only the colors within a single scheme can be used. Property owners do not have to use all of the colors in a scheme, but must use at least two out of the 4 available (body, trim, accent, bonus colors).
